GM Took The Cobalt SS/SC Back
Well after 15+ Visits to the Dealer 20 + calls to customer service and 3 calls to the GM Rep . A new mass air flow sensor , new PCM ,new oxygen sensors , 2 computer updates ,a new air filter and housing ,Dealer swapping several parts from a stock unit .
They finally admitted they could not fix the P0171 lean code at this time , they said 3-4 mths for a computer update , that ( Quote ) should fix the problem .
Well you get the point ^^^ .
They Took the Cobalt back . What they called it was a Collateral swap ( I quess that way theres no admission to quilt ? ) I was told to pick out another vehicle with the same Sticker price or close and they made the swap with me , Keeping the same payment , interest rate, account # and starting @ my regular due payment #4 , they also gave me 1 payment back for the down time of my car , I Went with a Chevy Silverado which ended up being about $485 higher , After Spray in liner , Window tint and Reciever hitch .
They said they would adjust the difference so I owed the same as I did on the cobalt ..
So I feel GM did the standup thing by Buying Or Trading me out of the Problem Child I had ..

is the truck only temporary until...whenever your cobalt is fixed or is this a permenant swap? most trucks are just no fun to drive to me, especially a silverado.

Any Chevy ,Pontiac ,GMC, Buick , ect, I test drove the GTO and liked it , But it was a lot more expensive , and I had to stay with the same priced vehicle ( Sticker price not what i paid ) . I figured thats so people dont mess with them just so they can trade up .
I can say , they treated me real good , no complaints ..
