When your filter is in water, the inline valve above opens up... Prevents your intake filter from sucking up water...

I just got on their website (AEM) and they say dont use it on a Supercharger or Turbo, is there something you can use that does the same thing that is safe for the engines? Just curious.

How does it know when it's in water or not?

I am not sure why a bypass valve by AEM would not work on a "intake" for a supercharged or turbo application. It would not work on a charge tube, but there would be no point to use one on it.

I know there have been customers who have put a bypass valve on their cobalt.
