Headlight Issue

I had a thread about this over a year ago and got no help what so ever so I am going to try again. I have a 2007 LS completely stock with manual everything. The headlights parking lights and dash lights stay on unless I pull the fuses. I have tried disconnecting the battery and change the fuse box but neither fixed the problem. This is the third time it has happened the first time it went away after replacing the fuse box the second it went away after taking the connectors off the BCM which makes me think it has something to do with wiring. Can anyone tell me where I should start looking?

Did you ever try replacing the turn signal stalk, you can replace that whole piece with a new unit

Don't think that will help because I just unplugged both connectors and the parking lights stayed on.

I would enjoy diagnosing that electrical problem, but can only be done in person.
It could be shorted anywhere. Need the tools, skills, and schematics...
otherwise just guesswork.

Well I got the schematics about an hour ago and have all the tools now just to find time I was hoping somebody could tell me there was a wire that rubbed somewhere and shorted but guess its not a common problem.

has the car been like this since you purchased the car? Could just be your daytime running lamps or auto headlights. There is a little black bump on your dashboard that is a sensor and it should control when the lights are on. If you have something covering this sensor chances are that's your problem.

It’s not the sensor because they stay on after the car is shut off. I was told the switch sends a ground to the BCM and that is what causes the lights to come on when working properly. So if a wire for the switch to the BCM was pinched and grounding out would it cause this?

Got a chance to work on the car today checked all the grounds for the lights and they were ok. Then I started at the switch tracing wires looking for a problem got the BCM and just touched the harness that is vertical and the lights went out and have worked right since any thought about what it could be.

I thought all the LSs had automatic transmitions....

If your manual everything, then maybe your headlight switches are shorted out. I thought most vehicals these days had auto headlights though....

If you move the related wiring at the related BCM connector and acts up on or off, i'd say probably pin grip on one of the related circuits. BCM terminals/connectors are not very user friendly to rebuild but you can buy a new terminal from the dealer or have them make you a new and very importantly ->properly crimped<- terminated lead that you can install to replace the terminal that is spread open. Just a bit of info, maybe too much, but I have seen that a few times on various body control modules in particular.
