heat and air questions.....done a search

Whats up guys,

I just bought my ss about a month ago. Since I have had it I have noticed that even when I have the blower turned to the off position it still blows out quite a bit of air. Is this normal? thanks for your help in advance.

Does it blow out air all the time? I know when the switch is off, the controls automatically set the vents to let air in through the fresh air intake ducts. The faster you go the more air is directed through the vents. If you are sitting still there shouldn't be any/much air at all goin through them.

If it's your motor one the other hand, there is a problem with the controls or relay.

As far as I know that's normal.

I never turn my fan all the way to 0 because it's actually bad for the engine... just like using the MAX AC. (read your owners manual) So it always flows some air.

Can it really hurt the engine? what can it do?

It's just not letting air flow through from under the hood properly... you are making the engine work harder than it needs to. Read your owners manual... I swear there is something in there about it.

i didnt see anything about it. if you dont want it to blow the slight amount of air, then put it on the all-the way left setting. aka the face vent. then hit the recirculate button
