Heat/Air ticking noise
When the heat/air is turned on, the fan underneath the dash on the passanger side makes a slight ticking noise, and it annoys the crap out of my gf. When it was at the dealer a while back, they said "did not hear noise" and it is apparently there. Like there is something like a leaf or something stuck in the fan. Any advice? Easy to take apart possibly? Thnx.

Mine 06 SC does the exact same thing.. It's going in for warranty work tomorrow morning and they're supposed to check that while it's there. I'll let ya know how I make out.

Mine too! annoying i thought i was getting a flat but my cars a lease and its going back in april soooo oh well ill just keep the radio on

Say hello to one of the various creaks, whistles, bumps, and ticking noises cobalts make I honestly think thats normal just about everybodys does that so you might want to tell your gf to get used to it

same with me, really noticable on the first speed. the dealership said the blower motor needed replaced

Figures. Wind blows into the back passanger window like hell, squeeks when turning, etc. All fixable stuff tho. I could NEVER just get used to stuff though myself, would drive me insane!

yeah im haveing that same prob mine started with just 1st and 2nd speed and now it does it on all speeds

Mine started about 3weeks ago.. it ticks/squeaks on all speeds now.. Gotta love squeaky rubbermaid interior

3 blower motors and the noise remains ...just turn up the radio

Ya, mine's been doing it for weeks. Is it under the dash, or up at the passenger side feet area? I want to take a peak in there and see what's causing it.

GM protection plus. $100 deductible. I don't remember the price exactly. Somewhere right around the $200 mark IIRC.

lol I have a G5 as a rental car this week, and it's doing it too! Didn't know the G5 is the same car as the Cobalt.. Car has 20K miles, damn. It only does it in the 1st speed.

I had the same problem. Even turning up my radio still annoyed me.

Took it into the dealer and they replaced the blower motor under warrenty....yay
