Heeeelllllpppppp!!!

So I have cobalt ss 2007 (supercharged) and I need a new clutch but I'm stuck on which one to get. I hear some ppl say that the stage 3 clutch is the best but also very stiff. Should I do the stage 2 clutch or the stage 3? How stiff are they?

The only thing I have done is the exhaust and intake and plan on getting the stage 2 kit or stage 3 kit as well with after market headers as well.

Help please thanks

KY Clutch - Chevrolet Cobalt/HHR 2.0L F35 Trans Stage 2

I was recommended one of these from turbotechracing.com
Are these any good?

Where can I find the gmpp clutch? Is it a stage clutch or?

Ecotec LSJ Clutch Upgrade Kit 19212712

For the price, this is the only thing you should get.

It will hold all the power you throw at it. Has been used a lot by our members and many vendors

Gm parts direct charged me $33 in shipping for my tensioner. They really arent cheaper, they just make up for their low prices with their shipping costs

No one beats Tom at CED on the GMPP clutch.
I checked literally everywhere.
Dealships wont match him either.

But this clutch only holds up to 300 .... the links above that I posted are up to 350-470

those ones are only $390-$430

Can the dealership install the clutch as well or do I have to find a shop in colorado to do it?

Plenty of high power cobalts making more than 300 wtq use this clutch. its the best bang for your buck.

Stock clutch is only rated 260 whp in the LNF but a lot of us make way more than that and haven't needed clutches

Well it holds my 360ish whp and 400ish wtq just fine, and multiple others at much higher than 300whp. Which torque will kill the clutch, the GMPP clutch will handle anything the M62 and most likely the TVS can throw at it. The dealer will be able to install the clutch, and if its a GM part there will be less bitching and CED actually recommends taking it to a dealer (so labor issues will be covered)

The GMPP and Stage 2 or stage 3 clutch honeslty all interest me since my goal is about 355hp. I plan on getting the stage 2 kit and headers and really good tune. Possibly the aftermarket tvs supercharger but kinda scared of blowing it up. right now I have the intake and exhaust.

GMPP Clutch is the way to go.

Read enough info on clutches when i was looking to realize if your car is a daily driver you may not like the way the car drives after going with a clutch which is "overkill" (not saying those choices are)

My GMPP was great and i was extremely happy with the decision I made.

355whp or hp? To make that much whp you definitely going to need a TVS, but the GMPP will hold the power still.

Or turbo. Even though tvs just sounds sexier

Don't want to burst your bubble, but 350whp is not happening with just a stage 2 kit. 300whp on a M62 is a good goal, if you want 350 get a TVS

whp. I want to get the tvs but I'm scared I will end up blowing the motor with too many aftermarket parts.

If you have a cobalt ss 2007 supercharged what do you have done to it, how much hp are you pushing, and what do you plan on putting into it?
