It's been about a week since changing the trans on the car. And I don't know where this goes at all

It's just a ground, you can bolt it to the housing right where it is.

okay, so it turns over now but does not start. I'm losing my mind with this car. Everything seems right but i dont know

What lights do you see on the dash? If it's the security light, you'll have to do a relearn (you can google search for that).

the only light is the check engine that comes on and the rest of the dask(obvisoily) but the car still doesn't start or even turn over. The yellow car lock light isnt even on

Check your battery then. It's been sitting for a bit, and you've been working on the circuitry so there's a high chance it's low voltage.

I had another car jump it. The starter only turns over when I smack the ground against it, still no start. Does it need to be programmed?
