Help!!! LSJ turbo surge
Hey guys,
I have a buddy whose got an lsj turbo. He's running an s256et all zzp charge pipes, intake, and intercooler. He's tuned for 21psi right now. When he's at mid range in WOT pull his turbo will start to surge around 14-17psi. He's taken apart the wastage spring and everything was fine. He just put a new zzp spring in his bov that's 24lbs and the turbo is still surging. Any ideas as to what it could be because him and I are both stumped. I thought it could be the turbo but there's no shaft play or anything like that. Thanks guys!

yeah, its actually my car. i dont know how to create posts on here cause im retarded, lol
yes, if i do a pull in third gear, i get surge at about 4-4500 rpm and it lasts until i shift into 4th, then once in 4th it begins to surge immediatley, im assuming cause my rpms are already decently high. there are no rips in my wastegate or bov lines, everthing moves freely. ive tried the blue, yellow, and now the 24lb spring from zzp in my zzp 38m bov. ive heard these bovs are junk, but before i drop 250 on a new one, i want to know it will solve my problem. its driving me nuts, i can post a log from hp tuners

you can see in the logs the maf spikes and then once it starts to spike badly, it knocks and pulls timing. im almost sure its false knock due to the maf sensor being after the bov, and considering how bad you can feel the spikes in boost driving it, but i dont want to pop the motor trying to make a stupid amount of airflow and power. ive contacted tim at zzp and he doesnt really want to give me answers. not trying to knock on them, cause they are great and love their service and parts, but i cant get a straight answer out of tim.
