you can run a 2.8 inch pulley on those injectors. but you will need a tune, find a local tuner.
no you can get pulleys for the 4 bolt gm hub, i dont know if anyone sells a 2.9 press-on
you will also need access to a pulley puller
if i were in your situation i would get a 2.8 and a tune for the cheapest route.
if i were me i would hold some money and make a parts list.
2.7inch pulley
S3 zzp heat exchanger
dual pass
60 pound or more injectors
intake
exhaust - header, downpipe, and catback
tune
do it all at once, youll be very happy.

Yes .... yes ..... no
A lot of people run 2.9's on the stage tune without issue .... when i had my SC i did and it was worth an extra pound of boost. You could really feel it in the mid range .... and i remember it improved lower rpm boost response from the blower . Make sure you order the 4 bolt pulley from ZZP and you wont need a puller or new hub or anything like that . I used to swap pulleys quite a bit testing different setups and I got it down to like 5 minutes to switch them around.... it's pretty easy . Make sure you have the stage II bit for the bolts and your golden.
I would stay away from a 2.8" on a stage tune thou ..... especially with you being at lower elevation ( San Diego is right at sea level right? ) .... your injector duty cycle is prolly gunna be pegged with a 2.9 as it is . The only other thing I would do is throw a set of one range colder plugs in her and tighten the gap to .035 or so . Good luck with whatever you end up doing.

if you get a 2.9". you may want to pick up shorter bolts for the hub. i had to cut a little bit off the ends to make sure they fit right.
i currently run a 2.9 on my stage 2 kit. i never had a issue.
