Exclamation Hole In Floormats plz post if youve had issue

Ok well i was having concerns with my floormats deteriorating so i asked my dealership to replace and they said gm doesnt cover wear under any circumstance. I called the chevy hotline and they said it should be covered under bumper to bumper so i went back and me and the sevice manager called the hotline again and talked to someone about the issue anyway its now being reviewed as i escalated it to a DMM (not sure what that means but i may have givin up the dealerships offer that they would pay for half) So im expecting a call on tuesday after the issue is reviewed. Im not sure what they are going to decide but id like a list of people with similar issues and if it was warrentied where they got it done at. Please include the info below if youve had a issue

Name:
Cobalt year and model:
Transmission Type:
Length of time you had the car before you noticed carpet start to deteriate:
If you had them replaced under a warrenty... dealer name and location where you got the new mats:

Thanks guys i will be sure to pass the info on to gm on tuesday and hopefully anyone with current floor mat problems can get new ones (also if any gm or redline or what not is having issues post up and ill see what they say)

i wore a hole in mine. didnt even talk to the dealer.. its not something that they would cover anyway.. so i got the diamond plate mats. easy to clean, and makes the LED's look even better than the old mats.... if i ware a hole in those i have bigger issues..

whats the point of buying ugly(IMO) rubber floor mats!? you cant even enjoy the carpet ones at all, thats like people who leave the plastic film thats put on cell phones and other gadgets to protect the shiny new screen, i just dont get it

to protect the car. Trade in value, and the such. Rubber floor mats arn't that bad, I need to get thicker ones for my car.

Mine wore a hole through in less then a month!
My holes is from the clutch foot, so I got some rubber mats for winter and just leave them in now.

mine wore through about 1 1/2 years owning the car. I got heavy duty rubber mats for the winter. I like the carpet mat's in the summer time. Never got them replaced. Never seemed to care about the hole in the carpet.

Why would you think that floor mats are covered under warranty? That is ridiculous. I suppose you will be asking them to cover your next oil change because it is dirty now. Or give you a tank of gas because it is empty? No offense, but there are just some things that you don't even bring up to the dealership. It just makes you look dumb and when you have a real issue, they are just going to look at you like the boy who cries wolf.

Mine isn't a hole yet, but I am seeing the carpet disintigrate before my very eyes. It is a small section about 5"x5" between my gas and brake. I've only got 2200miles on my car!!

I may just carve out all the carpet in each mat, and run on the thin rubber underneath, now thats a mod.
