I just saw this thread, since he has it in his sig...

NO WAY I'd ever replace them under warranty if I was a dealer. They wear out. Yes, they're cheaply made but knowing that in advance, I took mine out the day I brought my car home and replaced them with some nice heavy duty rubber ones. If I take my car to a meet or a show, I just pop the stock ones in. Car show people have been doing this since pretty much forever.

How do you like your diamond plated mats? Are they slippery when wet or even dry. I'm considering getting a set. Cause yeah mine are begining to wear a hole in it already and I had rubber mats on for a while but they kept getting caught by the clutch so I took them out only have been using the stock ones for 2 months and it's starting to get a hole. The dealer should replace them cause it's excessive wear, not just regular wear and tear. It's like if your brake pads were wearing out every 1000 miles or so, normal driving of course. I won't bother though cause it's a pain in the ass even though my buddy works there and he would get it done. But maybe if GM loses enough money replacing them they would learn their lesson and get better mats, but that is just wishfull thinking.

But im not a car show person i just bought a nice car... its really disgusting when people ask to see the inside because they are surprised at the blue leather interior and they see a hole in the floormat and little carpet particles all over the drivers mat (i get my car detailed regularly so its not compounded but its really sad imo)

BTW i never updated this thread but after waiting forever from chevy support or whatever they are called they denied my claim and said i could get them for half off

My first Balt, I wore a hole in about a month. Right in between the gas and break.
My newer car, the mats look great after 27,000 miles.

They will not cover these mats. That's why you need to go down to auto zone or someplace like that and pick yourself up some plastic covers.

that almost looks as shitty as having a hole in the mats... i may end up going diamond plate but thats not really practical for a daily driver

Floor Mats

I noticed the other day that the plastic clip that secures the floor mats to the carpet had come loose.I really am not too concerned, because I plan on installing thick rubber mats later on.
