on the cobalt ss / ion redline you need to run a power wire to the gauge (using the supplied harness) and remove the jumper pin on the back of the gauge. its outlines in the instructions.

ya it powered up with the OBD2 and everything and it turns off when i exit and read all my data but doesnt shut off almost like its still reading data, it sits at the main menu. I might have to add a circuit with additional power wire. Its weird it powers up and everything just doesnt shut off.

yea thats the reason why it needs to be powered from accessory 12 volts. the diagnostic port has 12 volts constant, the gauge powers on when it detects communication, but our pcm will stay powered up after the car is shut off.

Ya I got ya. I know a lot of guys haven't needed the 12v on there since it says if u don't have full power use the 12v. But I guess in order for my gauge to turn off it will need the accessory fuse and 12v added damnit lol I guess well see what happens tonight when I do that

Well its all good now!! No add a fuse needed went to turn the car off and waited to see if it would stay on and 20 sec later turned off. I noticed it flashes when i open and close my door. Would that be from the sensor on the panel sensing its open so the interceptor acts and a alarm type LED?

the redlines are powered through the OBDII port unlike the cobalt where you have to run a 12v wire. when you open your door, your ECU is already preparing for you to turn your car on, so it powers the interceptor
