Unhappy Issue with Aerforce Interceptor Gauge

I bought a pair of used dual interceptor gauges off kijiji. It came with the main wire that connects to the OBDII,and the six pin wire connector. These gauges are a year and a half old and are firmware 2.2. It only came with the connector thats connected to the OBDII cable.
My question is when i hooked them up and turned the car on for a few min,the gauges were on for about 15 seconds and shut off. For me to turn them on again I had to pull the 2 pin connector from the back and plug it back in.
Do I need to get the 3 pin wire connector to keep them powered and on,or is there a setting I need to configure with in the gauge ????
