Thumbs down Key stuck, ENG PWR reduced

Aight so I decide to go to 7-11 earlier today(round 5) to send some money to my sis an when I pull up, I go to turn my car off an the Key wont move...
I was gettin pissed, low on gas, an had other **** to do so I jus stalled out, left my key in an ran in..
Came out, started up an went to my buddies place(we were gonna help my other dude move out)

I remember seein somethin about keys gettin stuck so I looked up a couple threads on me phone while I'm tryin different stuff.. Turnin my tire didn't help
My Key wouldn't move except from ON to START and back, I tried 'pushin the pin' or watever under the steering wheel, couldn't find anything, but I wiggled some stuff around to no avail
after sweeten my ***** off(turned car off cuz i was low on gas) locked everything up, an disconnected my battery.. this wasn't my neighborhood, I didn't want no lil hoodlums runnin up an tryin to jack my car lol

I'm still under warranty, so I called a towtruck to have them take my **** to a dealership.
(on a side note, dude on the phone told me he'd call me back in a sec to tell me how long it would take, my dude text'd me 15 minutes after I hung up with 1800-chevy guy an tells me tow trucks there never had a tow truck come that fast lol)

But I go to start my car up so we can load it on the flatbed an surprise muthafuckin surprise my DiC reads out "ENG PWR reduced, Service ESC, Service Traction Control' ****** everything else.. AND my AC doesn't work my car was idling rough as ****, bouncing between 500-1k rpms Really BOUNCING an sounding really rough, even when I gave it some gas.. Stalled out about 3 times tryin to get it up on the bed before dude jus pulled it up..

What do you thinks gonna happen? And what can I do??

First off, I already called these guys... YouTube - ‪The Problem Solverz Promo: Problem!‬‏
No help

When it was just the key, I wasn't 2 concerned as any problem would be replaced/fixed under warranty.. but now that my car's having all these problems(which I don't think are directly related to my battery because everything was unplugged)
I got bolt ons w/ a trifecta Tune and I don't want any problems if theres a problem that's ECM related.. I think Ima get fucked tomorrow tho..

My key did the same thing. The cap the holds that springs and pins into the ignition popped off locking the key in the on position. I had to take it all part to get my key out. I need to have my ignition re-keyed. Didn't bother with GM cause my bumper to bumper warranty is up.

you had to take the entire steering column apart? I was thinking bout it... but decided against it
do you think thats wat happened? my key stays in my pocket unless im usin it, i don't think it would've gotten messed up or anything..

Just took the plastic covers off, and used a lock pick to slide the ignition cylinder out.

It should have an electronic lock/release on the key cylinder if I remember correctly. Combined with a bunch of warning lights and not running correctly I'd lean towards them finding a dying battery and/or problem with the charging system. Either that or you have some other odd electrical gremlin going on.

It might've been the milkshake....

I've had a battery die on me before in the balt.... As it's dyin it starts saying "service ESC, bla bla bla..." With a new battery, I was fine an if that was the case I wouldn't sweat it..

But I've never had my car run that rough before, and then it read "reduced ENG PWR".. that part got me a lil worried.. Any ideas? I'm bout to call the dealership

There is a recall for the 2009 for the ignition cylinder. Mine was covered under warranty last week. There is no manual release button for the key. My guess is get the recall done then see if the others problems are still there. My dic stopped working and the airbag fault light was on when I let the car at the dealership for the recall. When I got the car back everything was fine. The car doesn't really like having the battery plugged / unplugged every time I drove it for some reason...

lol chick at the desk said they're gonna look at it.. so ima find out somethin this afternoon..
on a side note tho.. bout a month and some change ago, my shifter would make a noise when I put it in second(still does, but i barely notice now.. It sounded like a plastic wrapper or somethin was down there with it.. Took it in, an they were gonna replace my shift boot(I guess my crown one was causing problems? ) but ima make another one with this "Limited edition" Crown Black bag
If anybody else wants one, lemme know.. I got bout 3 or 4 tall Tan suede Crown Reserve bags, bout a billion regular purple ones, a couple tall purp ones, and a digital cam purple one 2(that's gonna run ya a pretty penny for that tho )

I bet the car was just trying to re-learn itself with the bad idling and stuff.

Did you connect the battery good or was it a bit loose?

When I had this happen last fall, I disconnected the battery. When I went to start it after reconnecting it, it ran like crap for a few minutes until it figured itself out.

Hope everything works out for you.

That won't keep your key in the ignition and not allow it to come out
