Exclamation Key stuck in ignition

i was driving home from work today and pulled into my drive way pulled up the parking break and went to go pull out my keys and they will not turn backward (towards me) only forward. ive tried hitting the break, the clutch, its not in gear, the break is up. i wound up pulling the "crank/run" relay in the electrical box under the hood then disconnecting the ground from the battery, putting the relay in and hooking the battery up but at no point will the key even turn. any one have any ideas? thanks for any help.

Ignition cylinder recall. Take it to a dealer.

Also, if you really wanted to turn the car off you could of just let the clutch out and stall out.

After you get the recall fixed give it another 3 weeks then your key will get stuck again or either in my case take you 40 mins to turn over and start the car.. Recall on the recall FTW

Doesn't matter whether it has an extended warranty or not.. it's a recall.

Yeah it sucks ass, just stall it out and unplug the battery if it's late and the dealer is closed. Fire it up tomorrow and take her in.

Either way if its not considered under warranty it should be fixed for free since its a very common thing.

^ if they put quality into their work they would be fine. They have more cheap pieces plastic than a box of 90s barbies

If you would like for me to check to make sure your vehicle is under the recall, feel free to get me the last 8 digits of your VIN and I'll do that (and send you warranty information as well).

Finally after lightly jiggling the lock for 30 minutes I finally got the car cranked and running. I leaving it running and waiting around for the dealer to open to see about getiing it fixed.

I'll keep you guys updated.
