Leak down test results
Hey everyone,
so i put my car back to stock a month or so ago. In doing so i bought a used with valves and springs because I was having problems with my valve train and thought it was my head...
anyways, i swapped everything out and it was running great but then i got a cylinder 2 misfire code. tested spark, fuel, and compression. compression was bad so I went onto the leak down test.
Leak down test turned out air was coming from the throttle body. So what does this lead to? bad valve seats or anything else?
doing a wet compression test tomorrow most likely, just to check piston rings.
let me know what you guys think, probably will take my old head to a machine shop to get it checked out and cleaned, then swap the old one back on if everything checks out. thanks guys
