Leaking laminova core?

Ok so 4 months ago I tore my car apart, applied about every bolt on that's on the market. Got it back together today, turned it over and sounded like it wasn't running on all cylinders, blowing white smoke and even shot a couple flames out the tail pipe. So I am thinking coolant from ic is leaking into the combustion chamber, has this happened to anyone? And do the laminova cores leak or just the o rings? Any help would be appreciated, thanks. its possible you damaged the laminova when you swapped them end for end (you did swap them around when doing the dual pass end plate, right?). years ago i did the same thing. i had a small leak and it would only start blowing white if i got hard on the throttle above 5000rpm. guess thats what it took to push the coolant from the bottom of the manifold into the intake ports. but yea, if its smoking white id start with pulling the blower back off and looking inside the manifold

^^^^ what he said. They are very easily damaged. Just buy pulling the supercharger off you will know of they are leaking. When i was working on riceburners car he had the same issue. All the laminova core ends where bent or dented

What'd ya do sharkey start cheap by replacing o rings then to expensive by replacing cores? They were tough to get out so wouldn't be surprised if they are damaged. Ended up taking em all out to clean the manifold being there was some build up inside it, ran it through parts washer (with cores out).

Or before reinstalling in theory I could fill it with water and see if it holds? Although there won't be any airflow involved in that test.

you need to make sure the cores are 100% round on the ends or the orings even new are uselss.

I have mine apart doing the dual pass right now and I think I am going to rig up a pressure and vacuum test just for the heck of it before reinstalling the manifold.

my leak was caused by me. i had one laminova stick and i grabbed the end with my needle nose plier, and it left a mark in the sealing surface. i ended up using jb weld and sanding it round, then used a touch of silicone when reassembling. its been 5 years now with no problems

use a light coat of oil or assembly lube when reassembling the cores and rings and make sure you have the washers in the correct order also

Yep that must be my issue then, one of the cores couldn't get out and has a scuff in it from the vise grips
