Alrite guys i'm so close to being done with this car its not even funny!.....I've had my car for around 8-9 months now and its spent around 2 months TOTAL in the shop for repairs....to be specific the roll pin on the trans linkige keeps breaking

it was out for 30 days once wateing on partrs...its now in for ths 4th time for the same dam part! so i think i'm going to call in the lemon law on this babby

i'm totaly sad i LOVE this car but i never seem to have the dam thing....i know sombody on here had some ECU/lean code problums and they did a swap out on his car....anybody know what that procedure is called? if i did lemon law the car i owuld get another SS/SC...as close to the one i have rite now as possible

i'm just tired on always haveing rental cars and such....i've done some reading on the law on the net and i'm going to do more tonight but any help from all your people would clear things up for me

great car i just always have the same problum with it.

Check attorneys that offer lemon law help in your state. They will not charge you anything if they believe they can win your case. I contacted an attorney here.
p.s. I'm tired of rental cars too (read my thread)

Bryan,

The Lemon Law states it has to be the same issue and be documented several times. It has to also show new parts were installed and failed the same way. There is a member who ended up doing a collaterial swap and got a new truck instead of a cobalt. At the dealership where I bought my cars they have soooo many SS's it's not even funny. I am sure you could go to yours and say I don't want this anymore and tell them it's a damn lemon. They can work on getting the car you want only after the papers have been filed and approved.

Additionally, you have to have been without out the car at least 1/6 of the time or bettere since owning it to show it's been a inconvience for you.

Here is an example thread of the one I was talking about above.

(By the way, I used the search button , it was super hard! Found it my first search )

You want a "Collateral Swap"

Call GM Customer Service and file a formal complaint tell them 4 times for the same issue... tell them you have all documents... and tell them you just want an NEW car... and say "Collateral Swap"

But also remember to be nice.

I didn't fall under lemon law... but after an ass load of problems I got my bumper to bumper warrenty extended to 2011 w/ 90500 miles...
