level 4 ac dont work

Angry level 4 ac dont work

this car has problem after problem!!! idk if its from the wreck or just cuz it was one of the first ss/sc made

but when i turn the knob to 4 the a/c shuts off completly...but all the other levels wrk fine....i just replaced the filter...

so... im burning up

That would be a dealer problem. Probably on the circuit board

Very common problem with all cars. Id bet its going to be the blower motor resistor. Its an easy fix. Eventually level 3 wont work, then 2, then 1. Im telling you most likely its the resistor.

Agreed on the resistor. The 99-05 Grand Am's were horrible for doing the exact same thing.

I thought it would be the resistor but in my case it was the switch

Just buy a new A/C Controls, you can get them off of ebay. My Level 3 doesnt work

I just replaced my second a/c control - they seem to have a life of only (2) two years - also causes the connection for the fan switch to melt -I buy mine on ebay or a junkyard it's very easy to replace just remove the trim pieces and swap out the control units -

id say the resistor as well, what about a fuse burnt out, im going through fuses like a fat kid and fried chicken

my fan speeds are all working but I took out my blower motor resistor to take a look at it - besides being dirty and looking like it got a little wet - (a small rust spot) and streaks - how do I tell if I need to replace this?

You don't need to replace it... You could just clean up the connection a bit by using a small brush and some baking soda mixed with water then clean the excess off with a q-tip of isopropyl alcohol.
