Light behind the Air conditioning knob went out

Hey guys,

It appears there are two lights behind the cluster of knobs responsible for temperature control and direction (defrost/feet & face, all face, all feet, etc...)

One of them went out and its driving me nuts.

Im wondering if there was anyone here that has swapped out these bulbs before. Whether its for a different color bulb or the bulb burned out on them. Im trying to find a How to: to get to it. I dont know how to approach removing all the trim to get there.

just checked, you just have to pop the face off once you get it out, not sealed.

okay good, now to figure out the bulb size

I just found a whole new one on GMpartsdirect for $114. Would have sucked if thats how much it cost to replace the stupid thing. I think im gonna need some new HIDs for my fogs. My right one went out and if I turn them on the HID headlight flickers (might be a short somewhere)

I may be brave enough to buy a small electric soldering iron and try this LED thing, lol. Blue would look nice.

Yea, I haven't taken the time to do it yet, but i plan on it.

The write up makes it look rather simple.
