LNF Coupe Problem:

I own a LNF coupe, Im having a knock/clicking in the rear end while going over moderate to heavy bumps.

It does NOT do it if the brakes are engaged.

Ive checked my callipers, pads, twist bar bushings, exhaust clearance and shocks.

Any insight?

Look at the inside pad in the rear, those wear away before outside

Its the pads; been there.

Jack up the rear end and rotate the wheels by hand; make it jerk. Watch the pads and you can see them "floating" in the caliper. The steel backingplate moves around and knocks around in the caliper. Shitty design of the Teves calipers. You shoud get new OEM only caliper clips. Bend them tighter and install them. Pads wont move anymore then.

Upon closer inspection of the brake pads, I bought the car from a hyundai dealer, and they in fact changed the brakes and callipers, and installed which seems to be the passenger side backwards.

Here's the rear driver side:

and the passenger:

ell the idiots at my local Hyundai put the inner pads on the passenger side, and the outer pads on the driver.

Needless to say the noise has stopped and the drivers side smokes like crazy due to the uneven wear on the pads lol
