low mpg

hey guys, recently my all together MPG has decreased from around 29 mpg down to about 23 mpg...does anybody know what i should be looking for or even replace?

car type would help...


my advice? keep the skinny pedal off the floor.

i get ~16-20MPG but i keep the skinny pedal ON the floor.

ha, my bad; its a 2006 ss/sc

the thing is i haven't been driving any different; I've been driving the same I'm just having a sudden decrease

seriously tho, check ur O2 sensors.... tho that SHOULD throw a code

well i mean i am getting he P0171 code, aka "system too lean"
and i can't find it and some dealers and shops can't figure it out...

Do you have a CAI?
The ECU is compensating for that code, so it's dumping more fuel in fear of stalling out.

yeah, i have a K&N what do i need to do in order to stop the code from popping up

Yeah man. I'm getting like 22.8mpg and I drive conservative. I have a ZZP 3" and I'm in need of getting a tune. I'm sick of this ridiculous mpg. I also have an 06.

My MPG is low also...19.5...Iv been easy on the gas too although I need an oil change

Reset the ECU. (Disconnect negative cable of battery for like 30 mins)
If you're still getting the code after that, you'll need a tune.

i love the mpg my balt gets, its around 26 to 30. now the trailblazer we just go lol thats all im saying
