Is this mean I need a new clutch?

When i shift, and release the clutch to engage on faster shifts it feels like, it bounces back or dosnt engage right? Kinda a kick feeling? I raced my buddies Z and he said he started to catch up every time I shifted and I dont suck at shifting

also clutch replacenment ideas?

I was thinking exedy stage 1? with fadanza fly wheel i have GM stage 2 intake and exhaust how is the perforamnce clutch from GM will it work with fidanza flywheel?

The other guy will always catch up somewhat when you shift .the car is not pulling anymore when you change gears.
That would be like him saying that you pull away from him everytime he shifts gears ,but he wouldnt tell you that !!!

How many miles are on the car, do you know how to drive, and how much power are you making.

Does it still pull as hard at WOT above like 5k? I thought that was more indicative of a slipping clutch.

x2 if your clutch is slipping ur rpms will go up and u won't be gaining much speed if any.... thats been my understanding.

ya know it pulls in second well pullingt at 40mph, but ya it seems the higher speeds it lags to take off a second, where as before it was pretty instant gone..and i doubt its from loss of back pressure with the can

the "exedy stg 1" is just an oem replacement for our cars. Personally, if you're thinking about going exedy, I'd go with the hypersingle, especially if you're considering bigger upgrades in the future. Otherwise, just get another stock clutch and resurface your flywheel, that'd be the best buy imo.

yeah when u go wot at like 45-50 watch ur rpms and see if they rise then drop and then u go right after they drop u take off harder... it will bounce up like 500 rpm ( maby more) and then drop down and then take off... like ur spinning the tires kinda just not as bad,

that pretty much describes what I feel, it like gains "power" in little increments before it takes off.. i think you guys got it

I plan on doing full exhaust and tune thats it. Would stock clutch hold up to that power fine?

As a reference I have gm stg2, gmpp catback, gmpp honed exhaust manifold, aem intake on stock clutch and I`m going on 75000 miles. not sure what the specs for our clutch are but mine is holding up great.
