Misfire @ high RPM

I've had this problem for about 10k miles or so. At about 6500+ rpm, I will feel a let off in the power, like my foot has come off the accelerator. I originally thought it may be my copper plugs which had been in for a good 20k miles. I changed those and it didn't seem to help out. I have been scared to take it to redline since it first started so I have not done so very many times. It seems it is getting worse now as it now occurs earlier at 6000 rpm and more frequently when I am in that range. I am probably running lean on my 2.8" with 42lbers but that has not ever been a problem for me in the past. If I have blown a cylinder, I should notice some decrease in power I would think. It pulls just has it always has until it misses. What other things should I look into?

(mobile site wont let me edit posts)
Also to add: the only code I had was related to the high flow cat I am using. I was expecting to see at least one misfire code but there were none.

Yea that's exactly what it feels like. I remember the first time I thought wow I hit 7000 early. I looked down and saw the 6500 or so.

r u sure your not maxing out your injectors? i mean 2.8 with 42# sounds legit .. but it sounds like a fuel problem to me. or fuel pump, filter, ect dirty. i think seafoam would be the best place to start .. check all the filters. stuff like that.

I changed the fuel filter at the same time as the plugs. I'll try to seafoam this week.
