Mobil 1 5W30

I search Mobil 5W30 Data sheet and its general Mobil FAQ on their website, and didn't find any about how long would last this oil..I mean mileage until next oil change. Btw, is it worth the money? which are other alternatives as good as Mobil

I'd stick with Mobil 1. Its a well performing oil, and if you dont drive hard constantly, you dont need to change it that often. you can go by the oil life in the DIC and replace it when the percentage gets low.

I've been running it since my first oil change as owner.

Definitely had run it to about 7500 before changing it, and it looked fine.

I definitely recommend running it.

i believe on the bottle it says 10,000 miles. The extended life I believe is 15,000. Only other thing I would recomend is castrol syntec. Or castrol edge. I don't think anything else really compares. But you'll be getting a lot of different opinions about what oil you should use.

My dad knows a lot about motor oils and **** from researching up on it and such, supposedly there was a test done with Mobile1 synthetic to see how long it would last basically; they put it in an LS1 Camaro experiencing daily driving and some spirited driving, changed the oil filter every 1-3 thousand miles im pretty sure, so that it wouldnt get all clogged and what not, and had an oil sample taken and sent to the lab every 3 thousand miles to check the 3 or 4 main properties of the oil that will show if the oil is still good or if it needs to be changed...they did this process repeatedly, and according to lab testings, the oil exceeded requirements until about 15000-18000, somewhere in that range; does anyone ever leave oil in their car for that long, usually not, but it does show that the Mobile1 synthetic is a pretty good oil, changing at 3 thousand miles is kind of a waste of oil and money, i plan on running mine til around 5 thousand miles and then putting in Royal Purple

Royal Purple recommends changing your oil at the manufacturers recommendations...their synthetic/lubractive additives break down faster than other synthetic oils i believe, but it runs like a dream, so ill change the oil more often once i put in Royal Purple

Amsoil gaurentees 1 year or 35,000 miles, whichever comes first lol...so its all preference on what you want to put in your car pretty much

Stay away from Quakerstate and Pennzoil though
Their synthetic blends may be ok, but their conventional oils, no, its made from oil in the Pennsylvania area and has been shown in testings that these oils have properties that cause it to break down and do funny **** in extreme heats, aka summer days

My dad's been using Pennzoil since he got his truck in '98. It still runs (albeit, not correctly - but that's a fuel issue)...

I used Valvoline Conventional 5W-30 and 10W-30 depending on the weather in my old Dodge Shadow.
Now I use Mobile 1 5W-30 All the time, Because it says to.

use mobil 1 and go by the oil life meter.. Mobil 1 is good for over 10,000 miles, if a syntheic oil gets dark it doesnt mean that it needs changed. A syntheic oil keeps all the dirt and deposits in the oil, instead of forming sludge in the engine.

I changed the oil in my 07 ss na once a year with mobil 1, but i only put around 3k miles a year on the car. so it only had 3 oil changes.. but the oil would be so clean that I would save it and add it to my girlfriends chysler sebring when it would get low...lol..

If you have an lsj or lnf you should be running full synthetic oil. Mobil 1 is a good choice and walmart sells it cheaper than anywhere else. Change your oil every 3 to 4000 miles depending on how you drive.
