Mold on plastic and leather-Lost cause?
Hey Guys
So..I've been searching for a drivers side door panel for my 09 SS cobalt to replace the one in it currently that the previous car owner pretty much destroyed... and finally found one but it's covered in mold...I'm debating whether it's salvageable or not? Have any suggestions for what to use to clean it? The place I'm trying to buy it from offered to clean it..but I'm not very hopeful they'll succeed. Any suggestions are appreciated!

Only thing i would be worried about is if the mold is behind panel in crevises. since the panel is out you can observe both sides of it and determine how bad it is. I would myself clean it with vinegar and water mixture. maybe 50 50 and some good elbow grease.

Thanks for the suggestion. Ill send a pic Friday. I told them if they want money for it they have to try to clean it up some...lol the back of the panel looked fine. the front pretty much covered head to toe with mold.
