More Stealership Fun
Just got off the phone with my local dealership. Again, all I can say is that I'm annoyed. They could not give me any straight answers for the questions I had. Every statement out of their mouths was: "I'm sorry, I can not answer that question." Then I got the run around to someone else. Here were my questions:
How much labor would you charge me to install the GMPP Performance Exhaust?
reply: "Sorry, we have nothing in our database for how long this would take.
Can I install it myself since its such an easy job?
reply: "Yes, you can install it yourself. However I am sorry to say it could void your wanity."
Why would it void it? It is a GM part.
reply "Well, if something would be installed wrong that would later harm your car. It would not be fixed under wanity."
So another words, its basicly just a way to screw me for more cash right? Then when something else goes wrong you can blame and point the finger at me? What the hell can go wrong with installing a exhaust. I mean come on.
reply: "It's just something I have to tell you, I'm sorry I cannot help you with the information you need."
Well, in that case can I buy the GM Stage II kit, and exhaust from somewhere else like GM Direct to save cash and then have you install it?
reply "You could buy this could also void your wanity. It is not services job to check other companies parts to make sure they are GM parts. It would be best to order right from us."
Ok, well could I get a seperate qutes for both parts please?
"I'm sorry, I'm just a service emplyee, let me connect you with Parts. Hold please."
Same question back to Parts.
Stage II + install $1,190.80
GMPP exhaust reply: "I need to do more research, this is the first person asking for any of these parts. We can get back to you."
To top it off my car makes a vibration in the front and needs a front end alingment, it pulls to the left alot. This should not be that hard to order parts and get them installed. To me these prices seem very steep and I'm getting annoyed.

I will mention about this ADI site your talking about. I need specifics though cuz they act like jackasses and sometimes make you feel stupid when you ask questions. Makes you feel like your not asking correctly and they don't have any answers. The place I bought my car is called Klienfelters.

All lisenced GM accessories are sold by and installed by and outside company. In Maryland its called Adscom/Adi. Dealers don't order GMPP thought the regular channels they go through a company like ADI. How do I know? LOL! I work at a GMPP dealership and do this stuff all day every day! You probly got some noob who doen't know his head from his dipstick.
Good Luck and if I can help in anyway just let me know.
