motor noise...motor blown...read this

ok so this is my story i have a 2006 chevy cobalt SS/SC, stage 2,injen CAI,ZZP 3" down pipe with high flow magnaflow cat,and magnaflow cat back.now thats out the way this is the fun stuff ok one cold night my car started backfiring bad around redline every time i would get down on it like between 5000 rpms and 7000 rpms, then it stopped, then it did it about 3 times a week for 2-3 months,and one time i got down on it pullin off at a stop light and when i shifted to second the car died...waited 20 min started up fine never did it again...... and if u let motor idle it sound like timing belt, or somethin in that are is loud like a deisel truck motor,lol.....ok now more fun, i am driving down the road on cruise control at 55mph start goin up a hill ,car starts backfiring bad, down shift and it stopped.next day i take about an hour and a half trip, get about an hour and 20min from my house,on 64 east a gto pulls up tryin to show off, so i down shift to third goin like 65mph, supercharger wines up and POP backfires like crazy,then flashes engine power reduced..... cuts off, so after 20-30 min it starts back up and will only go 10-20mph, so i get to a local autozone in that area, thought it was my spark plugs, so i change them, 2 of the spark plugs are tore up electrode is gone like broke off and burnt,and ceramic center of plug is gone, so i replace all them, car still runs bad, call tripple A, tow it to dealer by my house, they take motor apart and 1 of the exhaust valves it chipped like missing a piece if it, piston is burnt on cylinder #1, also on cylinder #3 the piston is burnt and pieces of the piston are stuck to valves......so yeah i am gettin my motor rebuilt, GM has had my car since 2-21-09, and i have had their 2005 trailblazer as a rental, so yeah thats my story so far still waitin to get my car back..........

o yeah when i put new spark plugs in it i check the CAI filter, and inside my intake tube and the super charger inlet was oil.......yeah

well when it first started havin problems, i let my girl drive it and she putt a whole tank of wawa 87......i thought that was why it was runnin shitty, then after that i was confused

Sounds like spark knock problems...chipped pistons and exhaust valves? ****'s getting too hot in the cylinder if it's burning up. I'm actually surprised though if you typically use 91 octane or higher, plus have intake and exhaust work...you'd think a warranty approved upgrade (stage II) would be good enough on it's own to not experience these problems, especially if they're caused by knock.

Maybe when your girl put the 87 octane in you knocked hard, caused some initial damage and **** got worse over time.

Oh well, sounds like warranty work? Good deal then
