mysterious wobble

So my car shakes under throttle, doesnt matter the RPM, but load does matter. Cruising no shaking and braking doesn't either. WOT does and say anything above 50% throttle. It's not consistent and much worse in 2nd vs any other gear. Other times at WOT it's fine. Did the usual jack up and shake, no play except a little side to side movement with the driver wheel. The drivers wheel makes a constant clicking sound when I spin it and the passenger is silent.

I'm thinking it's bad cv's, any other thoughts?

yup bad cv joint brudda. cv boot looks ok? no rips or leaks? if you load and unload the suspension kinda quickly youlll hear air escape from the cv boot. it doesn't always have to be losing grease to fail though. you lowered?

Been lowered for a while now, at least 30k. I drive the car pretty hard and my cv's have always clicked ever since I lowered it. The boot's are fine on both sides.

sounds like you have a bad inboard cv joint...boot doesn't have to be broken for that. mine seems to have the beginnings of that right now

a lot of times people will over extend the cv joint while doing struts or control arms hubs etc, drop it down on the ground when theyre done and destroy ****. if the part is in normal operating conditions it shouldn't fail. most stuff like this is caused by other parts failing/people not installing or handling the parts correctly.

I'd say fix that outer tie rod first. There shouldn't be any slack in the steering components.

Im having the same problem

Things Ive thought could be the cause:
* wheel bearing
* outter tie rod
* CV joint
* ball joint
* control arm bushings <---pretty sure these are not the cause.
* Int shaft bearing
* axles

These have been ruled out: \/ ...On my winter rims and tires I still have the same problems.
* Tire balance
* Bad tire
* bent rim

[SIZE="4"]I started a thread in the suspension section...maybe we'll get more view.[SIZE]
