There is set driving patterens (Drive cycles)you can do to get the monitors ready.
its the only way to without driving mad miles.
Down load a manual for a obd2 reader from any site.I think I seen them in one of those.

they wont really know if its turned off.. from my understanding they put on an obd2 reader and see if there are any code and some places will do a sniffer others will just check to see if there is a cat in there and just make sure you have your rear o2 sensor pluged in and they shouldn't give you an issue .. as long as it LOOKS ok most places will pass you lol

Not a Sebring
The place I get my car inspected dosen't even care about CEL's......or the fact that im cat-less. The only things they inspect is my headlights, tailights, and turn signals, lol.

well NY has emissions testing,. granted newer cars are a scan only,. only problem with turning off the rear o2 is that the test is never completed and you will fail emissions, since it comes up not ready (same reading if you reset your PCM right before you go for inspection) s

nah only on states where they don't do emissions and just a safety inspection so the CEL doesn't come up as a light on the dash. if they don't see a CEL they will pass you, but on emissions they scan the computer to make sure all emissions control tests are complete and passed or you fail

just do what I did....reset your battery....do 18? or 25? startups and your system should be clear of codes and history and sensors should be ready but it shouldn't have enough samples to throw a CEL....
If I remember my manual right after 18 startups with no problems all recorded history and codes will be erased...
