no sound from radio
Did not find many topics on this in a search. Anyway... Got in my car today and no sound, radio, cd player, mp3 player, AM FM XM nothing. Radio comes on i can switch channels adjust all the settings but I have 0 sound. no hissing nothing. bone stock radio. Dealer and Chevy won't help me out because I have 91,000 miles. not sure how miles would have any affect on the radio. pretty shity coverage in my opinion. chevy wants me to pay the stealership to do a diagnostic on it to see they can figure out the problem and they "may" try to do some cost assistance. do I have any other options? any help is appreciated. I have not touched my sound system nor do i turn it up really loud. my only mod is some eibach sportlines and I have a hard time believing they caused my radio to stop functioning.

You probably blew a fuse. Happened to me when I installed my system wrong... there's a fude box that you can get to from the passenger seat. It's directly under the radio I think (or the glove compartment). I want to say your owner's manual actually gives a diagram of what slot holds what fuse.
If it is a fuse blown, though, replacing it will only be treating the symptom. It will only blow again. Probably right away when you turn the car or radio on. Since you are bone stock with your radio/speaker system, unfortunately it seems like getting a diagnostic check may be the best thing to do.
Check the fuse first, though, at least if it's blown you can tell the dealership and they can find the cause...
Hope I helped.
Just re-read your mileage... Might not be a symptom, the fuse could have just gotten old...

There's one that's actually called "radio" or "speakers" I thought...(I don't have the manual in front of me) I want to say that's what blew on mine... Be sure to check that too and keep us updated. I hope that's all it is, man.
