odd problem
For the last week, when I go to my car in the morning the remote start does not work.
At first I thought maybe I left the car unlocked but had a witness last night, I double locked it and got the horn beep.
But this morning, same thing. I press remote start and nothing happens.
Anyone ever have a similar problem? This is on the 07 factory remote start system.
Now I am really going to take notes on whats going on.

The switch for the hood being open you could check .It there so it can not be started when you are working on the car.
Maybe it just has to be programmed again !
Brake switch not making check for brake lights on all the time.
Place to start !

no--but the remote start does work.
I just have to hit the lock button, then the remote start.
But since I lock it every night---I should not have to hit the lock button in the morning for it to work.

its a security thing, just because you lock it at night its still gonna want you to go through the lock cycle again before you can remote start the vehicle.

as it turns out the problem was with the hood sensor, so my car thought the hood was open and would not remote start, the part is back ordered and will be in shortly so hopefully that fixes the problem....

Some Info
Just FYI, to use the Remote Vehicle Starter (RVS):
You must press the door lock button on the remote, then press and hold the remote start button for two seconds, or until the parking lights blink to acknowledge your button press.
If the hood is open or a DTC (check engine light) is set, it will not start. There are other things, like the engine must be at 0 RPM and some of the computers must be friendly to each other, but this is basically how it works. Also, the doors can be open during this process, they just must be locked. I use this every day.
Now, my problem is one of my remotes started just beeping the horn three times instead of starting the car. Immediately, I could use the other remote to start it, no problem. This was 100% of the time once it started happening. Now the second remote is doing it too. New batteries did not help. I can't find anywhere this is mentioned, including AllData.
Any ideas?
