Oh S$&#@!? ???
Well Ive had my cobalt for quite a while and now somethings up =[
It has noooooo power anymore even in first gear or 2nd etc
A check engine light is on but I'm unsure what the deal is it popped up on my way back home
and the higher gears a sluggish to more then they should be...
Not sure what the problem could be all the shops are closed currently being fathers day and sunday
I've parked the car since the light came on....
Any clue what it could be?

If your car went into limp mode that would be be power loss, the DIC should say something like ENG PWR REDUCED. Now it only goes into limp mode when it loses a critical sensor or something. Get the code scanned and post the code # then you'll get lots more help and it'll be easier to figure out.

Worked just fine until today
Guess I have an excuse to ride my bike around town until monday when I can get things checked

Limp mode is the PCM putting the engine into a safe mode, its designed to protect the engine in the event it loses a sensor or detects a problem. That engine power reduced you seen was the DIC saying its in limp mode. Get it scanned as soon as you can and dont drive the car if you dont have to.
