Ohio Emissions Testing bs
well ive been trying to pass echeck sences september. 5 drive cycles later I have 2 readiness monitors that keep saying there incomplete, evap and rear o2 monitors with the drive cycle im on now ive driven 120 miles with speeds as high as 70mph and as low as 25 mph with 3min periods of idling every so offen. im pretty sure my rear o2 is crap and i have no idea about my evap system, i had to block off my purge solenoid cuz it started leaking and pushing boost into the gas tank , so evap could be anything.
My cobalts is a 2.2l lt that ive put a turbo on and trifecta tuned, it runs like a champ. So my point is im getting rly sick of these drive cycle, what can i do with trifecta and most likely replacing parts to get this car to pass
sorry for any bad spelling

If this is the case you can disable the DTC codes that relate to emissions, so the guy giving the inspection will get a pass on his computer. They may be able to tell that something is off, but just play dumb. There is nothing they can do if the computer tells them it is a pass. Hope this helps. Nothing I hate more than having to deal with bullshit inspections.

thanks for the quick reply. i can replace the purge solenoid but do you think it would throw a code for evap leak with it and the line to the tank caped off? the rear o2 has given me 4 codes but is there any way to just delete it through trifeca? im going to take the cat back off anyway

You can figure out which specific codes you need to disable, but to just save you the aggravation (so you could get inspected tomorrow) just disable them all. If you go through the list of codes you can probably figure out which ones you are throwing. With trifecta's software you can scan the car to see which ones you are throwing, and disable them.

and sounds like the OP should just pick those code, disable, and leave it be.

i live in lorain county the farthest county west of Cleveland that requires it. Back in 05 I think, they rechecked the atmosphere and it was said we no longer need echeck but the county still keep the program in place which there losing money on it, with it being free now. The reason we had it here in lorain county was because of the steel mills in city of lorian but we no longer have them anymore.
