Oil and Fuel
Hello,
Oil:
I just purchased a 2006 yellow Chevy Cobalt SS. It has a 2.0 Liter Engine, and a supercharger. According to the hanes manual I purchased It's suposed to use
5W-30 Mobil 1 Synthetic Oil. However the little service sticker said "10W-30"
Is this bad? Or is it safe to assume they put the correct oil in my car before
they sold it to me?
Fuel:
Several times on my drive home from work my "MIL" light illuminated.
Each time I checked the code P0172 "System Too Rich" and then deleted
it. Then, it would illuminate AGAIN on the way home from work. Ive reset
it several times with a code reader that I baught. Today I took it to the dealer
ship (Still under warrenty) and I have an appointment to get it looked at
in more detail on Laborday. I was wondering if anyone knows anything
more about this? I checked my gascap a few times, because I found on
google that can cause codes. I also noticed that Im suposed to use
91 Octane gasoline. What kind of problems if any would happen
if I use say 89 or 87 Octane? As I have filled up with that before I saw
in the Hanes manual a 91 Octane requirment. Could the two be related?
Thanks,
-Jonathan
