Alright, so I just had my timing chain, timing chain tensioner and cylinder head replaced. After all this my car doesn't want to start. It will EVENTUALLY start but it takes more than a couple of tries.

I'm throwing a p0017 code and I know that doing a crank relearn will normally fix this. However, the computer isn't letting me do one. It keeps coming up with an error and it stops the relearn.

I know that the timing chain being out of alignment could also throw this code. However, the mechanic is assuring me it cant be off because it's "color coated and he had someone check it behind him"

Anyway, I need help getting this resolved. Because after its fixed I'm suing the pants off this place.

If it wasn't setting this code before and its setting now.. its timed wrong.

That's all there is to it.

That's what I figured. I had them do the timing because I didn't want to run the risk of messing it up and it being my own fault.

I'll go back tomorrow and demand he does it again. Its kind of funny, the guy told me that "It's so easy a 2 year old could do it."

Timing this engine really is that easy. Though I don't look up instructions on how to time engines with 3 chains anymore...

There are three colored links on the chain. He probably just got the intake/exhaust cams confused or missed a tooth on the crank or something.
