P0335 Crankshaft Postion Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
#51
the crank position sensor repair, will, by its nature, drop the mileage on the tank its replaced with. service manual position calls for the car to be revved until it hits the rev limiter multiple times. doesn't explain a quarter of a tank of gas, though.
not sure about all the reflashes, but would that reset the whole computer, so it would have to relearn all the parameters? doubt it could be something as simple as that, but hopefully you'll see some improvement by your next tank when its sure it doesn't have to retard timing for 87 octane, etc...

I'm submitting my paper work to my lawyer tomorrow for the fixes they did this week. Since I have everything documented I think it will be a little hard for GM to ignore all the issues I have been having. I've already got a formal letter typed up to GM and to the dealership explaining my course of action. I will inform everyone once it has been sent about my outcome.

So I had the same thing happen tonight... goin through second went to shift at like 4500 or 5000 rpms and BAM car shuts down and wont start up for like 5 minutes... the whole time its telling me the "engine power reduced". I got it started and drove it up to a gas station like 15 miles away. The whole time while driving it to the gas station, it felt like something was holding it back... like it was giving me 100% power..... I stopped and got gas... started it back up and check engine light is still on, so i drive another 10 miles to the nearest shucks and used their scanner. it popped up with p0335 and p0068. So i go back and start the car up and the check engine light is out.... and the car seems to be running fine and feeling like i have a 100% power again. Anyone have any suggestions? should i wait to see if the check engine light comes back on or it does the stall again before I take it to the dealer or what?
