It's a common problem on a lot of newer Chevys. You will probably need to replace the purge solenoid.

Update!!

Took the balt to GM Was a blowen fuse causeing my problem I figured ehh simple fix. They told me its MY fault, Because, I had halo headlights. YES SIR... Halos that are tapped into my Trunk Fuse. So thats what caused my Exhaust fuse to blow... Yeah Boy let me tell ya its MY fault for no knowing how to wire.....ANYWAY, got it back yesterday evening after an ass chewing. TODAY it blows the same fuse 2 times. I hit um GM, "Hey man you know how its my fault? Well your the damn car just did it twice more." He Said "Well you got a short." ( NO ****!!!!) So I say " yeah and its for yall to find, and it will be under warrenty cause I havent touched that system. Also if you give me anymore lip about stuff im not doing I have the corp. number right here infront of me and have already spoken with them once." Yes Sir bring it in tommrow morning. I was pissed can you tell? So we shal see if that made a diffrence to my stealership. Oh also they tried to say my motor mounts that arnt on the car anymore are the problem. it shook the car to much and cause damage....

Go to a different dealer. If you're near Houston, come to mine and I'll fix it for you. I could use some work. Lol.

Well, thats just about the stupidest thing I've heard in a while. Just bitch and moan enough and they will cover it. If not, you have the right number to call.

evaporative emissions is the vapors from your fuel system. it has nothing to do with exhaust.

if you have a code for a solenoid its usually the solenoid, wiring or a software issue.

take it to your dealer and get them to test the solenoid for you.

clear the code run it , see if it comes back on, if it were an evap "leak" then might be gas cap not on tightly, but in this case i think it's the solenoid it's self. good luck!

Wrong!!!!

The EVAP system is not part of the exhaust system. However it is one of the systems tested and required to work properly for your car to pass hydrocarbon emissions tests.

Read this so that next time you can at least sound like you know a small amount when you open your mouth...http://www.autoshop101.com/forms/h62.pdf

Dude it's not your O2 sensor shorting out. There's a solenoid that is part of your fuel system the helps purge the gasoline fumes from the gas tank into a charcoal canister and then into your intake instead of out into the open air. If you jack up the rear end of your car and look by your gas tank there will be a black box with I believe a hose going to it (I believe it has a red fitting) and and electrical connection. The electrical connection attaches to the solenoid that's throwing the CEL. Why it's throwing the CEL is something we can't diagnose over CSS.net...

Good to see you have the problem solved. Was it the cat not functioning properly?

EDIT - skipped the part about the O2 Sensor.

Maybe he gave us the wrong code. The O2 sensor is not part of the EVAP system

and most certainly should have nothing to do with a solenoid in the EVAP system.

P0443 = EVAP Purge Solenoid Valve 1 Control CKT
