Thumbs down Parking Brake Problem... Please help!

So I'm currently an hour away from home at a conference in Troy, MI... I get to the hotel and pull my ebrake, right? Snap... some plastic tab-looking things fly up and the e brake won't release.. The button is stuck ALL THE WAY IN. I need some help.. at least a way to release it so I can drive home..

I'd like to avoid cutting the cable if necessary, lol.

Pull the cover off the handle and see if you can find the problem and go from there. There's a latch on the underside of the handle that has to be pushed in then that cover will slide right off.

ten millimeter wrench can loosen the adjuster bolt and under the rear cup holder is where the main cable attaches to each rear cable you can pull that apart.

So what happened was.. Part of the button itself snapped off (WTF?) and it wedged itself in there. I took the cover off and shoved a small screwdriver in there and unwedged it.
Thanks for your guys' help!
