Passenger side brake light and turn signal
Howdy,
I have a 2008 Cobalt LS. Over the weekend I noticed my passenger side brake light and turn signal weren't working. However, the brake light DID work when my headlamps were on, but the turn signal still didn't work.
I replaced both bulbs, but the turn signal still is not working. Brake lamp works fine, but only if the headlamps are on.
The problem seemed very strange, so I figured I would ask in case anybody else had a similar experience or knew of a fix. I don't have a whole lot of money for the next month, so I'm apprehensive to take it to the shop for an electronics diagnostic.
Thanks!

I had something similar with the front signal.. running light would work but signal would not work.
Bulb was burnt out so I changed and then signal would still not work. So I looked into the socket and the metal contact had snapped off.. So I went to a wrecker yard and picked up a new harness for 5$ and good as new

I didn't think about the socket being damaged! Not sure if that explains why the brake light doesn't work without the headlamps on. I'll look into it.
If anyone else has any suggestions, please feel free to share. =)
