Please help with phantom noise..
Hey guys,
To make a long story short, I smacked a curb yesterday, and it was at the right angle and height to smack my exhaust hanger off. Well, I got it home and hung it back up, but I now have a slight noise when accelerating. It's very hard to explain. It sounds like a very very very slight exhaust leak when accelerating, but I doubt it it because I'm not getting any codes, and the exhaust note is still the same otherwise. It's coming from the passenger-side wheel-well / foot area it seems like. Any ideas as to what it "could" be?
Thanks!!

I had a 98 grand am, did a cat, had an exhaust leak after the repair and it shut my code (p0420) off. So I wouldn't just guy by your CEL. I would guess it would be a vibration somewhere. But could be a leak like you said.

Yeah.. Had enough leaks though before and doesn't outright sound like one. Tried going under the car while I revved it and didn't hear anything unusual.. We'll see..
