Power steering?
my power steering warning keeps coming out on the instrument panel and shutting down my power steering. If I pull over and restart the ignition problem goes away but has come back on twice this week. Anyone know why this happens or what I should do. I looked in the manual but all it says to do is service at a GM dealer.

I just had the same problem. Took to dealer and they replaced the steering motor (which is electric). Fixed my problem. I think the part was like 90 dollars or something, but my car was under warranty so I got charged nothing.

If you have no warranty remove the motor and clean the internals of carbon etc. or if you have the extra coin by a new motor and install it your self.
Doesnt look like to hard of a job.
Heres the link to the how to

I reported it so that GM has to replace this part because it can kill a person if not taken care of.

I didn't miss ****, I saw but that link is for the steering column and not the power steering motor. Take a look at the link before you post!

Go to that how to. It is the little black cylinder. All you need to do is call a dealer near you. get the part. Go home. Take the piece of plastic off from under your steering wheel like in the how to. There are like 2 or 3 bolts holding in the power steering motor and just plug in the new one.
