power steering still f****d up after recall

power steering still f****d up after recall

so i was at the mall the other day and i was getting in my car and as i start it the steering wheel is almost impossible to turn then i notice it says power steering. i turned the car off let it sit for like 15 min and it was fine. then this morning i was leaving for work and the same thing. so i called the place where they "fixed" the recall to have them check it. this happen to anyone else.

Maybe the guy that did the service didnt put the fuse back good enough for the power steering or you just are unlucky and got a bad motor.

After mine was replaced, I didn't even make it out of the lot before it acted up again. they said they had a bad batch. This was last summer.

i pray that when i take it in they fix it for good this prob is a pain in the ass

Yes it is. Also make sure your intermediate shaft is not going bad. you will feel the wheel knock slightly during an initial turn left or right.

Don't worry about it. Next time, put the car in gear and let it roll a couple inches, the p/s motor will kick on.

Or get stronger and turn the wheel anyway.

i am hearing a knock when i go over bumps had it checked a year ago and they replaced a bushing, but its doing it again. so when i get it back from the dealer ima take it to the shop to have it checked.
