problem with rear defroster

so it snowed here yesturday and i noticed my rear defroster dosent work any comments?

Do you hear the relay on? I would take a volt meter and hit the button and see what kinda reading your getting and go from that

Check your relay in the fuse box under the hood, I had mine melt down twice already here are some pics of it currently.

Better make sure it fits tight or you will have a fire!

Could be a blown fuse or a bad realay or a loose connection as with the pics above.

does any body now what the number is? i looked at rer de fog and there none in there

Might wanna check the wires on your rear window as well, mine broke off at some point.

ya it came on the car tinted?

well the wire looks fine and the fuse is good?wtf

did your rear defroster ever work? its possible that whoever tinted it may have scratched one of the main lines for the defroster, causing the whole thing not to work

If the control is saying its on and the fuse/relay is good. Then you could take a volt meter and put the leads on each side of the rear glass defroster lines (be careful not to scratch the lines). This will tell you you have power to the defroster and the problem maybe a broken line in the glass. If you dont get readings then its something between the relay and the rear window causing the problem.

well i dont have a volt meter handy.im taking it to the dealer, but i had a jet chip installed wich fryed my computer so they replaced the ecu could that have done something? and yes it did work i have had this car for about a year and a half so it has worked. the newsest things ive done to this is that new ecu,and i installed after market windows?

sorry aftermarket window kit (power windows) but they called and said it was a relay thats bad so is that the fuse relay or what. the total with that and new speaker 182.00

The relay is the the big grey fuse like thing, no.6230 on 2007 balts.

k so got the relay. they were going to charge me 182.00 for the relay and blown speaker. went to see how much the parts were 16.00 for relay and 25.00 for speaker laughing at them for labor priceless.
