question those with CTI header and dp, or any dp for that matter

Okay so I have had some problems growing with my new exhaust setup of the CTI header and 3 in DP...

1- had to extend O2 sensor wires by cutting and splicing.
2- the 02 sensor is rubbing against the metal heatshield, and i think it just melted the wires, because my CEL came back on and I have been smelling a burning smell..

My question is, what has everyone done regarding these issues or have any of you even had these issues... after i did all this work i found two things online.. I found an plug and play 7.5 inch O2 sensor extension ( FML RIGHT ) and i found an O2 sensor angle adapter. Does anyone have any experience with these? i want to get everything right for when i get my wideband, because i dont wanna have this issue when i pull out my plug and go to install the wideband sensor..

WHAT SHOULD I DO?!?!

I have the full CTI exhaust! header, 3" catless dp, and 3" cat back! i didn't have to extend anything! just reroute the sensor a little bit i think! nothing had to be modified!

Its ok little buddy!

I have the CTI Header/DP and do not have this problem. You can litely pound the heat shield out of the way. It is made of a very flimsy material.

What angle is the O2 sensor at? Mine is like 90 degrees away from the car. So there is plenty of room.

yea i ended up getting an angled adapter to fix the CEL anyways so it worked out great... love my new exhaust except the fact that it doesnt meet the stock catback flange very well.. had to make my own gasket with silicone gasket maker

btw it took me about an hour to do the header and dp
