The car is a 08 Cobalt LT. All of a sudden both rear windows are unresponsive, both from driver's console and switches in the doors. Checked the fuse but there is only one fuse for all four windows and the fronts work fine.

With both rear windows failing at the same time it doesn't sound like motors. Must be an electrical connection issue. Anyone have any ideas?

 

I was thinking maybe the window lock out switch may have been accidentally put on, but I can't remember now if the drivers controls will still work the rears with it on.
Simple enough to check, though, if you have not already.

The lockout switch doesn't prevent the driver's window controls from operating. Odd thing though, it is 10 degrees cooler today and now the rear windows work.

Not giving me a warm fuzzy feeling.
