Rearview Mirror lights wont turn off
My car's rearview mirror lights wont turn off, I've tried pushing in the buttons and pushing them out it still wont turn off. Anyone have any ideas what it could be? Every other light goes off like the headlights etc... just not the rearview mirror ones.

Door switch is stuck on would be my guess.
Unless you were working on the wiring and shorted out the ground wire to the mirror.
The only other thing is the bcm has gone for a crap.
The inadvertent power control circuit of the BCM supplies battery positive voltage to the dome lamp, reading lamps, and vanity mirror lamps. When any door is opened, the door jam switch contacts close and the door open input to the BCM is grounded.

I recently took the car in to the dealership for them to fix the rear defroster, which was fixed but when I got it back the lights would no longer go off. They said its a different issue and want me to pay again for diag.....unfortunately for me the manager wasn't there. I will check the door switch again.

First they checked the relay connections on the car then they soldered the wire back to the glass, which fixed the rear defroster but broke my lights?
Door switch seems to be working the alarm thing goes off if i hold it in and release it. The lights however remain on......any other ideas?
