Problems/Service/Maintenance Do you have problems with your new 2.0, 2.2, or 2.4L? What kind of service did you have done?

recently just changed my oil and engine light came on

i was doing my oil change today and i let it sit for couple hours to drain and remove the sensor behind the supercharged to replace the oil filter then open and check the coolant open it and tightly close.but soon as i get done change it i let the car warmed up but the engine light came on and the coolant temp went high to 201 degrees !! what should i do??

Any idea what the code is? Without knowing that you aren't gonna get much help

i figure it out after i reset it i have to let the coolant settled down and let it circulate the system the check engine light came off though and when i was reving the engine i can hear the coolant flowing inside the heater core and thanks guys!!

Still kinda fuzzy on what the coolant system has to do with having your oil changed but glad it worked out for you

lol cos when i was doin oil change i found out that my drain plug snapped from the neck trough thread and i was lucky enough to get it off and from that i start checking everything and did the coolant tank reservoir
and for got to let it flow first!!

i guarantee the coolant you think you were checking for the engine was the coolant for the blower.
