Remote Start....HELP!!!

i am currently installing a design tech remote start in my 06 ls balt. i have the interface module and the key is in place in the box. i also have the loop around the ignition loop for the transponder. i also just found out today that our cars dont have an ignition 2 wire from the key. so i have the ign. 1 (yellow) and the acc.(brown) and the constant, ground..etc. but my car will not start. it is not a problem with key recognition because i put my other key in the ign an hit the button. it doesnt work!!! please help anyone that has some experience.

ps already searched and my question is not out there. thanks for helping

Unless GM changed their wire colors. I don't believe that the yellow wire is an ignition wire. I believe that it is usually a starter wire. If I remember correctly, pink is usually the main ignition wire.

If its the same as the 05 there is a second ignition. I believe its pink w/ white stripe, but im not positive on the color. just test the wires with a test light, see which wire turns on with the ignition and then turn off the key, The second ignition will stay on but will turn off when you open your door.

Do you have the keysense wires connected as well for the loop of the bypass module??? Try turning the ignition key forward to the on postion, not the start position. Then try the remote start. If it starts that way, you don't have the second ignition wire energized. I wouldn't go probing around with a test light if you really don't know what you are doing either, because if you hit an airbag wire, it will deploy. They deploy by being grounded and a test light will ground the airbag system.

there are no airbag wires where these wired are. Are you grabbing the wires by the fuse box? Thats where you will find the second ignition.

Looks like the constant power is Red/Black and not red/white or pink/white. Check and make sure that the remote start is sending or energizing the ignition wires when you push the button on the remote. Check them with your test light.

okay if anyone wants to put a remote start in for their cobalt...even if it is a stick shift let me know. i finally got it working. i ran the starter wire from the remote start box to the starter selonoid in my car. since i already had the ignition wires working fine, the car cranks and starts perfectly. thanks to all that tried to help. but most of all thanks to my dads old buddy at gm. he told us exactly how the ketsense worked.
