Removed inter cooler, charge piping, and the intake

Ive been working on my car and removed my broken inter cooler. I don't have a bumper on my car and all charge piping removed. I've also disconnected my MAF to prevent damaging it with the outdoors. I won't be getting the new inter cooler until Wednesday or Thursday so my car will be exposed until I work on it again. I've read somewhere on here that you can temporarily run you car without the MAF installed to just move it short amounts. I was looking for some second agreements on this and if it's okay to run my car without the MAF/intake/filter just to rearrange my car in my driveway so it's not open and exposed to the street. To temp run it should I have the MAF connected but just free standing or have it completely disconnected?

Ill post some photos of the work later for all those curious. The howto guides on replacing the intercooler were extremely helpful. Thanks to everyone who made such guides.

I wouldn't run it without all the piping and sensor connected. These cars tend to get pissed when everything isn't hooked up right. It's gonna throw a lot of codes for vacuum leaks and such.

Better yet open a bigger can and find 3 or 4 friends and carry it around just for the looks you'll get from the neighbors

Well if you actually unplug the MAF, you can get it to start with no piping. I didn't want to run it long obviously, just enough to park it in my garage. Turbos sound pretty crazy when they are free flowing. I got two error codes, MAF sensor something and intake voltage something. I cleared hem and went on with my business. I'm all ready to install my new intercooler when it arrives, I just need to finish up sanding and reprinting my charge piping. I got tired of their scratched up blue look so I decided to sand them down, apply primer, and repaint with high temp black paint. Hopefully they will look as good as the lights I just painted black. Anyone know how much that low lip on the bumper goes for?
